Educators Adding an Accommodation/Untimed Mode

In order to best simulate the official test day, students can add timing accommodations to their online practice tests.

They can do this through their student accounts. Educators can also adjust this for students through their educator accounts.

Here's how to enable timing accommodations for your student:

1. Log in to your educator account and navigate to the main Dashboard. 

2. From the Dashboard, click on the name of your student.

3. This will take you to the individual student profile. The first area with all the student’s info has accommodation checkboxes for either Extended Time 1.5x or Double Time (2x).

4. Click the appropriate box and the time for each test section in the student’s account will automatically adjust. 

Note: If you ever need to turn timing accommodations off, simply navigate back to the individual student profile and uncheck the accommodations box.

Should a student require other accommodations, please reach out to our Support Team ([e-mail]) for advice on how the student can access these while practicing.  

Before a mock test, you may need to check all accommodations for a class. This can be done through your educator account.

Here’s how to check the accommodations for a class:

1. Select the class with all the students you need to check.

2. Click the Class Settings button.

3. Then select Settings in the Practice Test Accommodations box.

4. From the next screen you can check all the accommodation settings for a class.

Some students may find it helpful to practice without a timer. 

Students can turn this on through their accounts.

Here's how a student can take a test in untimed mode:

1. Log in to the student account and navigate to the main Dashboard. 

2. From the Dashboard, click on Start next to the test section being taken.

3. Students will be asked how they want to take the section. Select Online, then once the section instructions have been reviewed, click Untimed mode. This will begin the section.

4. Take the practice test section.

Note: Once in Untimed Mode, there won’t be a timer, but the test can paused and ended.

This mode will need to be selected for each test section. SAT students will need to select End and Score to move on to the second module.
