With our Teacher Notes feature, you can leave messages that your students can view in their student tools. These messages can be a great way to recap what was covered in recent lessons with your student, provide notes for future lessons, or even send affirmations to encourage your students’ test prep.
Students can access these messages through a new Teacher Notes button in their Homework tab. If a student has any notes they haven’t viewed yet, they’ll also see a red alert bubble on the button.
Clicking the Teacher Notes button will take them to the Teacher Notes page. Notes with the most recent dates (this is the date below the note title) will be displayed first.
- This shows the teacher’s first name and last name if they have set this in their profile. If a teacher doesn’t have a first or last name set in their profile, it will show the username instead.
- This is the main body of the note.
a. Title added by teacher
b. Date set by teacher
c. Message written by teacher - This shows the user when a note was created or last modified by a teacher. Unlike the Date (2b) this is not editable and updates automatically.
Navigating to Teacher Notes section in your Educator Tools
From your Dashboard or Students tab, click on any of your students’ names in the student list to go to the profile view.
Scroll to the Edit Teacher Notes section located towards the bottom of the profile view.
Here, you’ll see a list of notes that you and any teachers in your network have added for a student.
