For each practice test, you have the option to take the test online or on paper. If you take the practice test on paper, there are two ways to score it.
-
The first and recommended way is to use our timed paper test feature and input your answers as you take the test. This way gives you a more comprehensive analysis that includes timing feedback.
-
The second way to score a paper test is to input your answers after completing the entire test.
Tip: For either option, make sure you print the test before starting. For help finding the printable PDFs, click here: Printing Practice Tests. |

Inputting Your Answers As You Take the Test
1. On the Dashboard, select any of the Score Paper buttons next to the sections of the practice test you are taking.
2. On the Section Instructions page, select the Begin Section button. Make sure the version (ex: Version 7.0) in the pop-up box matches the test version you are completing.
3. Selecting "Begin Section" will bring you to an online bubble sheet and immediately start the timer. You'll see Pause Section & End Section buttons in the upper right-hand corner, and the timer will begin counting down.
The Pause Section will stop the timer and allow you to resume taking the section at a later time. The End Section button will submit your answers and score your test.
4. Record your answers on the online bubble sheet as you complete the paper test.
Important: In order to accurately track the time you're spending on each question, there are a few things you should know:
|
-
Clicking on the hourglass icon tells platform that you are:
1) Skipping a question: If you spend time working on a question, but ultimately choose to move on to a different question, you need to let the platform know by clicking on the hourglass on that question number.
For example: If you start the test and spend 30 seconds working on question 1, but choose to not answer the question right now, and then spend another 30 seconds on question 2 before selecting your answer, the platform will think you spent the full 60 seconds on question 2.
2) Reviewing an answer: If you go back to a question to review your answer but do not change your answer, you need to let the platform know by clicking on the hourglass on that question number when you initially go back to that question.
1. On the Dashboard, select the Score Paper option next to the section of the practice test you are taking.
2. On the Section Instructions page, select the Score your test button. Make sure the version (ex: Version 7.0) in the pop-up box matches the test version you are completing.
3. Selecting Score your test will bring you to an online bubble sheet where you input your answers.
You'll see Pause Section & End Section buttons in the upper right-hand corner. The Pause Section button gives you the option to come back and continue inputting answers at a later time. The End Section button will submit your answers and score your test.
You'll also see Keyboard shortcuts to expedite the process of inputting answers.
4. Input your answers and select End Section when you are done.
