Tips for Organizing Classes
You can think of each testing site (ISEE, SSAT, ACT, SAT, HSPT) as different buildings within your network. Each building has its own classes, teachers and students.
Each class must contain both teachers and students. If a class exists but doesn’t have students or teachers assigned, it’s just an empty room. If you assign a student but not a teacher, the teacher can’t see the student and vice versa.
Our platform is designed to be flexible. Therefore you can set up your classes in the most helpful way for your organization and reorganize any time when needed. Below are a few common options.

Option 1: Naming Classes by Teacher
This is a great option for organizations where teachers work individually with multiple students. Naming the class by teacher makes it easy to distinguish who they're working with, and students can be placed in multiple classes if they work with more than one teacher in your organization. Don't forget to assign the teacher to their own classroom!
Option 2: Naming Classes by Student
This option is well suited for organizations where teachers work together with students as a team. Classes can be named by individual student; that way, all of the teachers that work with that student can be assigned to the single class. Don't forget to assign the student to the class, too!
Option 3: Naming Classes by Subject, School/Organization, or Mock Test Date
Whether you host occasional mock tests or hold frequently recurring classes, this naming convention can be a helpful option for keeping multiple groups organized. Classes can be named by school, organization, date, or subject area and all relevant students and teachers can be assigned to the class.
Option 4: Granting All Teachers Access to All Students
If the options outlined above are too complicated, or if you prefer that all teachers have access to all of the students you work with, we recommend creating an "All Students" classroom. Simply assign all students and all teachers to the classroom and you won't have to worry about which teacher has access to which student's account.

Note: All teachers are able to assign homework/classwork and adjust class settings. When multiple teachers have access to the same class there can be confusion related to settings and/or assignments. |
Adjusting Existing Classes
Assigning Students/Teachers
Once you’ve created a class it’s easy to add or remove students or teachers as needed. Here’s how to do this:
1. Select the class you want to add students/teachers to.
2. Click the Class Settings button.
3. Click either Assign Students or Assign Teachers, if the account has already been created. Otherwise, you can click the + New Students or + New Teachers button.
4. Click Add to Class to add a student/teacher or Remove to remove a student/teacher.
Once you do this, teachers will have access to that class. Students don’t see which classes they’re in, however, any class settings for the class will impact this student’s account. For example, if the Mock Test Mode is enabled for that class, the student’s account will be put in that mode.
Changing a Class Name
Class names can be changed at any time. See how below:
1. Select the class with the name that needs to be changed.
2. Click the Class Settings button.
3. Edit the name and click Save Changes.
Deleting a Class
Classes can be deleted at any time. However, it’s sometimes easier to just update the name of the class. For example, if it’s a class with the same students and just a new teacher, it would be easier to simply update the class name and assign the new teacher.
Deleting a class impacts students, teachers, and any practice data from that class. For students, they may notice that some class settings have changed if a class they’re in is deleted. For example, if the class had all students in Mock Test Mode, when the class is deleted, the student will be taken out of this mode. Any classwork assignments will be unassigned. Teachers will no longer be able to see the students in the class or their practice data. The data itself will also only be accessible for each individual student.
If you want to keep a record of the data, but don’t want to keep the class, you can download the data before deletion.
Deleting a class cannot be undone. Here’s how to delete a class:
1. Select the class that needs to be deleted.
2. Click the Class Settings button.
3. Click the red Delete button.
4. Confirm the class deletion by clicking Delete again.
