We have a lot of great tools to help students understand how they're doing relative to other students. However, sometimes you might want a student to focus on their own improvement and not focus so much on how they stack up. In order to facilitate this, you are able to lock the analysis and/or school data on their profile.
When nothing is hidden, a student's analysis page will include their percentiles (or stanines) and colored bars showing how they are doing relative to target scores for the schools they are interested in:
Hiding Student Scores
When the analysis page is hidden, students will see this screen when they go to the Test Overview (they will still be able to review the summary for each section, but they won't be able to see their percentiles or stanines)
- Click on Class Settings in the upper right-hand corner from any page of your Educator Tools.
- Note: If you'd like to hide scores for students in a certain Class, first select the class using the Class drop-down on the left.
- Click on Settings next to Hide Student Scores.
- Click the padlock icon next to the student whose analysis you wish to lock (1 in the figure below), or click the padlock icon at the top of the column (2 in the figure below) to lock the analysis for all students in the group.
- You'll also be able to save a setting that will automatically hide scores for new students when you add them without a teacher or admin having to go in and click the individual's padlock (3 in the figure below).
Note: If you don't find the student you're looking for, verify you have the correct class selected from the drop-down at the top. |

Hiding School Data
Hiding school data will leave the student's percentile or stanine score, but will remove the school names and school data color bars. When school data is hidden, students will see the following when they look at their test analysis overview:
- Click on Class Settings in the upper right-hand corner from any page of your Educator Tools.
- Note: If you'd like to hide scores for students in a certain Class, first select the class using the Class drop-down on the left.
- Click on the Settings button next to Hide Schools Data
- Click the padlock icon next to the student whose analysis you wish to lock (1 in the figure below), or click the padlock icon at the top of the column (2 in the figure below) to lock the analysis for all students in the group.
- You'll also be able to save a setting that will automatically hide schools data for new students when you add them without a teacher or admin having to go in and click the individual's padlock (3 in the figure below).
Note: If you don't find the student you're looking for, verify you have the correct class selected from the drop-down at the top. |
